Mahoney & Hauser, Ltd. has been serving clients for over forty-five years throughout Stephenson, Jo Daviess, Winnebago, Carroll, Ogle and the surrounding northwestern Illinois counties. The office is a general practice firm with individual lawyers focusing on specific areas of law.

The firm was founded in 1960 when Francis X. Mahoney and Harold Nettles combined their law offices. In their history, Mahoney & Hauser, Ltd. has produced four judges:
